Armagh players Ciaran McKeever and Malachy Mackin will miss the 3 March National League match against Mayo after picking up suspensions.

GAA chiefs banned the Orchard County duo for one match each for their part in a melee during the first half of the Division One match with Cork.

A number of players got involved in a brief bout of pushing and shoving.

Armagh and Cork have been fined €5,000 each by the Central Competitions Control Committee.

The punishments have been seen as part of a crackdown on indiscipline by the GAA authorities.

The loss of McKeever and Mackin is a blow to Armaggh as they attempt to build on an encouraging start to their top flight campaign.

They drew against 2011 champions Cork and then beat Kerry in Tralee.
