Ulster champions Donegal were well beaten by Kerry in Sunday's Division One clash at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Donegal made a decent start with Patrick McBrearty and Michael Murphy among the points.

Kerry took over with Patrick Curtain netting an 18th-minute goal after linking up with Darran O'Sullivan.

After the break, Barry Sheehan scored a penalty after Curtain had been pulled down and Donegal skipper Murphy scored a penalty when he was fouled.

After Murphy's goal, dominant Kerry added five unanswered points and Sheehan ended with a personal tally of a goal and seven points for the Kingdom.

The result leaves Donegal still on two points, having lost three of their NFL matches.
