Ulster SHC still key for McNaughton

Antrim forward Shane McNaughton is among players and management who still believe in the importance of a competition which this year sees only four of the nine counties in the province involved.

The dominant Saffrons also compete in the Leinster championship.

Conor Mageean of Down said revenge against Derry or Armagh would motivate his side, but a game against Antrim at Casement Park is the big goal, while Oak Leaf boss Ger Rogan believes a new winner would be good for the competition.
