Paddy Bradley's hopes of a Derry comeback are dashed by injury
Paddy Bradley's hopes of a call-up to Brian McIver's Derry squad have been dashed by injury.
The 32-year-old told BBC Sport NI he has torn a hamstring, which scuppers his hopes of an inter-county return ahead of Derry's Ulster SFC tie with Down on 2 June at Celtic Park.
It's a cruel setback for the player who has battled back from two cruciate injuries in the last 18 months.
He was due to play his first game of the season for Glenullin on Sunday.
Bradley was hoping to feature in a number of club games over the next few weeks in a bid to impress Derry boss McIver.
He had pencilled in Sunday's league game against Magherafelt for his comeback, but his first appearance of the season will now be delayed by several weeks.
