Eugene Laverty secured his best finish of the MotoGP season on Sunday after coming in 12th at the Catalunya Grand Prix in Barcelona.
The Aspar Honda rider from Toomebridge picked up four points in Spain to take his tally for 2015 to seven.
Laverty finished 55 seconds behind winner Jorge Lorenzo, who clinched his fourth straight MotoGP victory.
Valentino Rossi pushed him hard but Lorenzo held off the Italian and fellow Spaniard Dani Pedrosa in third.
Two-time reigning champion Marc Marquez of Spain crashed for the third time in seven races.
Laverty's previous best finish was 14th at Le Mans in France last month.
