Jacques Rogge concerned at London 2012 nationality switches

The International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge is concerned at the growing trend of athletes switching nationality to cash in on the Olympics.

The IOC has approved the applications of Cuban triple jumper Yamile Aldama and Germany cyclist Philip Hindes to compete for Britain at London 2012.

Rogue accepts that some athletes have legitimate reasons for switching.

But he is concerned about those who "go to another country because there is a bigger gain to be made."
