Career highlight
Soni took gold in the 200m breaststroke in Beijing, beating the favourite Liesel Jones in a World Record time, who had beaten her into silver in the 100m breaststroke. She also took a silver in the 4x100m medley relay.
Other career
At the 2011 Long Course World Championships, Soni took home three golds (100 and 200m breastroke, 4x100m medley relay) and a bronze (50m breaststroke).
Did you know?
Known as "Reb" to friends and family, she preferred gymnastics, only taking up swimming because it meant she didn't have to wait for her sister's class to finish.
