Olympic team Chef de Mission Andy Hunt has backed Britain's rowers to live up to expectations in the competition at Dorney Lake this summer.
The team leave their Caversham Headquarters on Tuesday as they travel to Munich for their third and final World Cup Regatta before the Olympics.
"I am very confident they can do something very special this summer," Hunt told BBC Radio Berkshire.
GB Rowing have set themselves a target of winning six medals at the Games.
And Hunt feels that they could even surpass that figure.
"They are a dominant force in world rowing, we've seen that at the last Olympics in Beijing and at the World Championships," said Hunt.
"They delivered six medals in Beijing, two gold, two silver, two bronze.
"I absolutely believe they have the ability to do that again and who knows, maybe more."
