Olympics handball: GB crash out after defeat to Tunisia

Great Britain's men crashed out of the Olympics at the group stage when they suffered defeat to Tunisia, their fourth in a row.

The 34-17 scoreline betrayed the gulf in class that left GB pointless and bottom of Group A, with a game to play.

Dragan Djukic's men showed heart and desire throughout, but Tunisia piled on the points in the second half, racking up 20 to widen the margin of victory.

Britain face Iceland on Monday as they attempt to avoid a whitewash.

Later in the day Argentina, who beat Great Britain 32-21 on Thursday, slipped to a 29-13 loss to Sweden, who go second in the group.

Iceland gained revenge on France for their Beijing Olympic final defeat with a thrilling 30-29 success. The Scandinavians are now set to top the group with one game left to play with the French also one of the top four sides to advance to the knockout stages.

In Group B, Croatia now lead the pack after overcoming Denmark 32-21, while Spain got the better of Hungary 33-22 and South Korea prop up the table following a 28-22 loss to Serbia.
