Oxford-based Olympic gold medallist Zac Purchase is pleased to be back with racing partner Mark Hunter for the 2011 rowing season.
The duo won lightweight double sculls gold at Beijing 2008 and will next race at the World Cup in Munich on 29 May.
"We have a fantastic record and we're looking forward to going out there and racing again," he told BBC Berkshire.
"We haven't had any racing internationally this year so it [Munich] will be an exciting one."
The Gloucester-born athlete won the lightweight men's single sculls at last month's trials for the British rowing squad, while Hunter, who recently suffered an arm injury, finished a disappointing fourth.
However, Hunter has since returned to full fitness and Purchase is hopeful the duo can challenge for medals in Germany later this month.
"I really like Munich, it's a really nice course, so obviously our target is to go out there and win," he said.
"We're going to go out there and put a really good race together, whether we win or not only time will tell, and that will tell us if we've done the right work over the winter."
