London 2012 Olympics: Frances Houghton delight with World Cup selection

Frances Houghton says her attention can now turn to the World Cup and Olympic Games, after winning selection for the Women's Quadruple Scull boat.

The crew for the World Cup regattas is likely to be the same for the Olympics.

"It is tough because we spend so much time racing against each other, but now we are in a crew together," Haughton told BBC Radio Oxford.

"I'm just looking forward to staying fit and healthy and building the quad up and let's see how quick we can go."

Henley-based Houghton lines up alongside Beth Rodford, Melanie Wilson and Victoria Thornley for the regattas in Belgrade (4-6 May), Lucerne (25-27 May) and Munich (15-17 June).

"It is tough because we spend so much time racing against each other, but now we are in a crew together," Houghton added.
