Ex-GB rugby league international Dennis Goodwin dies

Former Great Britain international Dennis Goodwin has passed away at his home in Barrow-in-Furness, aged 81.

The prop earned both England and Great Britain caps during his time at Craven Park, and represented the latter on the 1958 tour of Australia.

Goodwin was a member of the Barrow side that lifted the Challenge Cup in 1955, their only win in the competition, and also appeared in the 1957 final.

He signed for the club at the age of 17, and also played for Leeds and York.
