Chris Thorman ready to stay at York City Knights
York City Knights player-assistant coach Chris Thorman has verbally agreed to stay at the club for a further year.
Former England international Thorman joined the Knights at the start of the 2010 season.
Knights general manager Ian Wilson told BBC Radio York: "Chris has verbally agreed earlier on today.
"We're just waiting to get the bits and pieces and the paperwork signed up. It should all be completed by the end of the week at the absolute latest."
Thorman played in Super League for Huddersfield Giants and Hull FC before joining York.
He took temporary charge of the Knights at the start of last season when then coach James Ratcliffe was suspended for three months for bringing the game into disrepute.
