Elliott turned now a new deal at Leeds to join Bradford

Bradford Bulls have signed 17-year-old stand-off Marcus Elliott on a two-year contract.

After two years with the Leeds Rhinos, the youngster turned down a new deal at Headingley.

Bulls head of youth development Paul Medley said: "Stand-off is a position in which we were short last season in both the academy and under-20s.

"We feel Marcus has all the attributes to go a long way in the game and we are delighted he is coming to Bradford."

After agreeing terms at Odsal, Elliott said: "I was offered another contract by Leeds but after speaking to Paul Medley and [player performance manager] Stu Barrow, hearing their ambitions for the club and looking round the superb training centre at Tong School, I had no hesitation in joining the Bulls.

"I am really looking forward to starting pre-season training with them."
