Academy duo Cowling and Trout sign Wakefield deals

Wakefield academy graduates Danny Cowling and Kyle Trout have signed one-year professional deals with the club.

Centre Cowling, 19, is a former England Under-16 international, who has played for amateur side Featherstone Lions.

Trout, 20, who can play at prop or loose forward, has come through the Wildcats' youth scheme, having previously played for Stanley Rangers.

Head of youth performance Tony Drury said: "Both these players have worked extremely hard to get this contract."
