Former Hull FC player James Webster has been appointed assistant to new head coach Richard Agar at Super League side Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

Webster, 32, who was previously assistant to Agar at the KC Stadium, has signed a three-year contract.

The Australian enjoyed a successful career as a scrum-half at Parramatta Eels, Hull KR, Widnes and Hull FC before moving into coaching in 2010.

He said: "There is a sense of something new and exciting at Wakefield."

Hull's Head of Performance David Joyce and Head of Player Improvement Graham Davey have both left the club.
