Whitehaven have signed St Helens reserve grade scrum-half Ben Karalius on a one-year deal for the 2012 Championship One season.
The 20-year-old scored 11 tries in 20 appearances for Saints' under-20 side and has England Under-16 honours.
He joined the Saints academy from Widnes-based amateur rugby league club West Bank Bears.
Karalius joins former West Tigers prop Luke Isakka, who re-signed at the Recreation Ground on Wednesday.
Isakka, 31, scored two tries in 20 appearances in his first campaign for Haven after arriving at the club in January.
The Sydney-born forward, who can also play second row, began his career with the Tigers, and split his time between the NRL side and feeder club Balmain.
He also had a spell at Leigh in National One during the 2004 season.
