Hull FC have suspended new signing Martin Aspinwall with immediate effect.

The club say they are looking into a disciplinary matter but have not revealed any more details.

The former Wigan, Huddersfield, Castleford and Great Britain forward, 30, has yet to play for the Black and Whites after joining last month.

Earlier this year he spent five weeks in prison after admitting dangerous driving, four weeks after receiving a suspended sentence for assault.

BBC Radio Humberside understands the incident is of a relatively minor nature.
