Bradford Bulls will be without Australian centre Adrian Purtell for six weeks because of a chest injury.
The 27-year-old former Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers threeq-uarter tore his pectoral muscle in Saturday's 20-12 Super League win over Castleford.
The extent of the injury was confirmed by a visit to a specialist in Manchester on Tuesday.
In addition, back rower James Donaldson is to seek further medical opinion on his knee injury on Monday.
