Bradford Bulls: Tom Burgess to join South Sydney

South Sydney have agreed a deal to sign Bradford Bulls prop Tom Burgess for the 2013 season.

Burgess, 20, joins his twin brother George and older brothers Luke and Sam in playing for the Rabbitohs.

"I can't wait. I've still got a job to do at Bradford but I'm really looking forward to getting out there," he told BBC Radio Leeds.

"I was looking to get out there at the end of the season but the financial situation did impact on my decision."

He added: "It's been a lifetime dream for us all to play together. We're all really close so I've missed not having them about.

"South Sydney is very similar to Bradford in that it's a family club and all my brothers have told me nothing but good things."

The Bulls, who were docked six points for entering administration, beat Widnes 38-26 on Sunday to re-ignite their hopes of getting a play-off berth.

Despite their off-the-field problems they are now just two points off eighth with four games to play and Burgess is keen to finish the job.

"We've spoke about things and doing something special this year before Sunday's game," he continued.

"The club could be moved down to a lower league and this group of players probably won't be together next season so we want to get in the play-offs and make some waves."

Burgess made his Bulls debut against Harlequins at the age of 18 and has gone on to play 44 league games for the Odsal side.
