Wigan Warriors: Hooker Michael McIlorum to miss play-off matches
Wigan Warriors hooker Michael McIlorum could miss his side's entire Super League play-off campaign after he received a three-game suspension.
McIlorum was found guilty by the RFL disciplinary committee of a grade C reckless high tackle in Wigan's 26-18 defeat against St Helens on Friday.
The suspension puts McIlorum out of Wigan's home game against Catalan Dragons on Friday 14 September.
The Warriors appealed the verdict but the RFL upheld their original decision.
McIlorum, who was also fined £300, was shown a red card after only 15 minutes of the game against St Helens following a challenge on Saints prop Anthony Laffranchi.
Wigan, who finished top of the Super League table, last won the Grand Final in 2010, the first time they had done so since 1998.
