Castleford Tigers have re-signed ex-Huddersfield Giants prop Keith Mason on a one-year deal.
The 30-year-old joined the Giants from St Helens in 2006 and has previously had spells with the Tigers, Melbourne Storm and Wakefield.
Tigers coach Ian Millward told BBC Radio Leeds: "We needed an experienced player because we have a young side.
"He brings a lot of good things and I'm sure the young players will be excited to play with him."
Millward added: "We didn't want to bring in a Championship player or another inexperienced player. We've lost 14 guys and brought in eight so we've aimed to bring in high quality people.
"I don't expect us to make any more signings now."
