Castleford caretaker boss Danny Orr says he is expecting to have stand-off Rangi Chase available for Saturday's trip to Salford.
Chase, 27, has been linked with a move to NRL side St George Illawarra and chief executive Steve Gill said last week they would not stop him leaving.
"I'm confident he'll be putting a Castleford shirt on at the weekend," Orr told BBC Radio Leeds.
"Until I hear different he's our player and one I'm glad is in our team."
He added: "He's a fantastic player, he's been training really well and I expect him to keep doing so until something changes."
Orr, 34, has been in charge of the Tigers for two weeks following the departure of Ian Millward.
He guided the Tigers to just a second league win of the season with victory over Widnes in his first game before falling to defeat in the Challenge Cup at Leeds last week.
The former skipper is not looking to make too many changes ahead of a new coach coming in.
"There's a couple of things that I've added or tweaked," he said.
"It would be wrong of me to do anything major, because the players are still getting used to the things Ian put in place.
"If I came in and changed it all and then a new guy came and mixed it up again they wouldn't know where they were going."
