Super League champions St Helens have signed Dewsbury forward Matthew Haggarty on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old has returned to the Championship side on a season-long loan but will train with Saints.
Prop Haggarty started his career at Leigh Miners and has spent time at Salford, Whitehaven, Barrow and Oldham.
"I am excited by the opportunity of taking a contract with Saints but at the same time sad to be leaving Dewsbury," he told the club website.
"On a personal note I'd like to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Chris Hill and Alex Walmsley in breaking in and establishing myself as a Super League player."
