Winger Tom Lineham scored a hat-trick for Hull FC in a comfortable win over Widnes in the Super League.
The hosts led 10-4 at half-time through a Lineham brace, as Kevin Brown crossed for a Vikings side that lost three players with injuries before the break.
Lineham went over for his third before full-back Jamie Shaul touched down from a Jordan Rankin kick through.
Widnes' Patrick Ah Van did brilliantly to twist his body to score out wide but they could not get back in the game.
Lee Radford's side have won back-to-back games for the first time this season and move above the Vikings into ninth.
With both teams playing their third game in eight days after the Easter schedule last weekend, there were lethargic legs and limbs on the field.
|Widnes' troubling travels...|
|The Vikings have now lost 10 of their last 11 Super League games away from their Select Security Stadium home which is an 'i-Pitch' made of artificial grass. In contrast, they have lost just once in five games in front of their own fans this season.|
Lineham, who is now top try-scorer in Super League with 10, opened the scoring out wide before Vikings captain Brown touched down from close range.
Widnes lost Stefan Marsh, Chris Dean and Lloyd White within the first 25 minutes, leaving them with just one replacement to rotate for the rest of the game.
The Black and Whites were back in the lead as Lineham intercepted and sprinted the length of the field for his second as they led by six points at half-time.
He scored a similar long-range effort after intercepting the ball just after the break, before Shaul did well to claim Rankin's kick for their fourth try.
Vikings winger Ah Van finished with a try in the corner in the closing stages, but Denis Betts' team are yet to pick up a point away from home in 2015.
