Hull KR coach Chris Chester is confident prop Mitch Allgood will be able to play again this season after he was ruled out for three months.
The 26-year-old has not featured since 11 April and underwent shoulder surgery last week.
He has made eight appearances for the Robins this season.
"There was a lot more damage than we'd thought, so he's looking at three and a half months out," Chester told BBC Radio Humberside.
"We're confident he'll be back a couple of weeks before the play-offs.
"He has been a bit unlucky with injuries and suspension so he's not played that many games this season and he can't wait to get back out there."
