Patrick Ah Van: Widnes Vikings winger signs new contract for 2016
Widnes Vikings winger Patrick Ah Van has agreed a new one-year contract extension with the Super League club.
The 27-year-old, whose existing deal had been due to expire at the end of this season, joined Widnes from Bradford ahead of the 2012 season.
New Zealand-born Ah Van has scored eight tries so far this season, two of them in Saturday's win over Salford.
"This is fantastic for us. Pat has been an amazing acquisition," head coach Denis Betts told the club website.
"His try-scoring ability is second to none. Pat has now got the chance to keep doing the things he does so well for us and to score some more spectacular tries moving forward."
Ah Van crossed twice as Widnes beat Salford 38-16 in Saturday's Magic Weekend match in Newcastle, a result that kept the Vikings in Super League's top eight.
