Hull FC half-back Marc Sneyd has been given a two-game ban for a Grade C dangerous contact offence against Leeds Rhinos scrum-half Danny McGuire.
Sneyd, 24, was originally charged with a Grade D offence and could have faced a suspension of up to five games.
He will instead miss the Challenge Cup quarter-final against Leeds and a Super League trip to Wakefield after being found guilty of the lesser offence.
McGuire was shown a yellow card for kicking out while being held by Sneyd.
Leeds originally feared the 32-year-old had suffered a broken ankle in the incident, although McGuire has since confirmed he suffered "no lasting damage".
