Hull Kingston Rovers have signed half-back Dane Chisholm from Canterbury Bulldogs for the rest of the season.
Chisholm, 25, scored three tries in four international appearances for France and also played for Melbourne Storm and Manly Sea Eagles.
He will provide cover for captain Terry Campese, who has been ruled out of the rest of the season because of injury.
"He's got blistering pace and he's a great finisher too," head coach Chris Chester told the club website.
Chester added: "He's been really impressive for Canterbury's reserve grade side this year and he's an exciting player to watch.
"A move to us for the rest of this year is a deal that suits all parties.
"It will allow Dane to show what he can do in the first team and I know he's really excited about playing in Super League."
Hull KR are currently in ninth place in the Super League table, having won nine of their 21 games.
