Super League side Warrington Wolves have confirmed half-back Chris Sandow has joined on a two-year deal after his release by NRL club Parramatta Eels.
The Australian, 26, started his career at South Sydney Rabbitohs and had been linked with the switch for some time.
Wolves hope to have Sandow available for the Super 8s but are still awaiting confirmation on his visa.
"Tony Smith has been a big part of my decision to move to England," he told the club website.
"I'm looking forward to working with him and getting stuck in with the boys.
"Lots of people in Australia talk about the passion of English crowds, the noise and atmosphere at rugby games - hopefully I can add something to the team as we make a charge towards the title."
Sandow will help cover the loss of Richie Myler next season, who is moving to Catalans Dragons at the end of 2015.
