Warrington forward Ben Westwood will miss Saturday's Challenge Cup semi-final against Hull KR after receiving a two-match ban for a shoulder charge.
Westwood collided with Castleford half-back Luke Gale during Sunday's 44-6 win at the Tigers, with Gale taken to hospital for overnight observation.
The 34-year-old, who is also fined £300, had pleaded not guilty.
"I'm really, really, really disappointed about it," Wolves head coach Tony Smith commented.
Speaking prior to the hearing, Smith had expressed disappointment that action had been taken against Westwood.
"He was hung out to dry and it was incorrect. We feel that Benny's chest was the thing that came into contact with Luke Gale's face," he said.
Meanwhile, Catalans forward Ben Garcia has escaped punishment after submitting an early guilty plea for Grade A dangerous throw during Sunday's 36-22 defeat by Leeds.
