Castleford Tigers half-back Ben Roberts has signed a three-year contract extension.

The 30-year-old New Zealand and Samoa international joined the Tigers on a two-year deal before the 2015 season and scored nine tries in 25 games in his first Super League season.

The former Melbourne Storm man is currently sidelined with a foot injury.

"I'm excited to be working with (head coach) Daryl Powell for a further three seasons," Roberts said.

"Cas is definitely a club with a vision of success, and I want to play a part in that. My family and I are settled here and I love playing for this club and with these boys."
