Super League strugglers Huddersfield Giants will appoint a new interim head coach to replace Andy Kelly.

Giants head of youth Kelly, who was put in charge after Paul Anderson's sacking on 16 June, will oversee Thursday's game with Hull FC before leading the club's academy on a tour of Australia.

Huddersfield are 11th in Super League, six points outside the top eight.

"The club will probably make another internal interim appointment," Kelly told BBC Radio Leeds.

"Hopefully the position will have righted itself before we get to the middle eights."

Meanwhile, Kelly has also revealed that full-back Scott Grix will miss up to six weeks with a knee injury.
