Plymouth Albion moved a step closer to Championship safety with a battling win over Birmingham & Solihull.
Five penalties from fly-half Alex Davies gave the home side a 15-10 half-time lead, with Ollie Grove grabbing a try for the Bees.
A Mark Hopley touchdown put Birmingham briefly in front before a penalty try and a Sean-Michael Stephen score restored Albion's advantage.
Birmingham scored a third try through Simon Hunt but Albion held on.
Two second-half penalties from Davies took his tally for the match to seven, plus two conversions.
Mark Woodrow kicked one penalty and two conversions for the Bees.
The result leaves Albion only a point behind Pool C leaders Esher, while Birmingham & Solihull are now bottom of the relegation-deciding table.
