Exeter flanker James Scaysbrook relishing Bath return
Exeter Chiefs flanker James Scaysbrook says there will be no room for sentiment when he returns to former club Bath on Saturday.
The 29-year-old forward spent eight years at the Rec prior to joining the Chiefs in May 2009.
He told BBC Spotlight: "It's a big game for me, playing my old club as I've got a lot of old friends there.
"Everyone likes to get one over their mates, so both sides will be wanting to get one over each other really."
He added: "The Rec is a special place to play, over the years I always loved playing there so I'm really looking forward to it."
The season's first meeting between Bath and Exeter in February ended with the Somerset side edging a 12-9 win at Sandy Park
Scaysbrook said: "They showed us how to really finish a game off that day.
"There's certainly lessons that we took from that game that we'll improve on for the rest of the year.
"Quite a few old friends are still there so I'm looking forward to seeing them back out on the pitch," Scaysbrook added.
Since joining the Chiefs, Scaysbrook has been a key component on their journey from the Championship into the stable Premiership position they now find themselves.
He added: "Rob Baxter showed a lot of faith in me by bringing me down here in the first place.
"He's definitely brought my game on leaps and bounds and I always come out of each game with something to work on for the next week."
