Cornish Pirates boss Chris Stirling is confident his side can come from behind to beat Worcester in the second leg of the Championship play-off final.

Worcester hold a nine point advantage from the first leg, which they won 21-12 in Penzance on Wednesday.

Stirling told BBC Cornwall: "I don't want to harp on about it but there is still another 80 minutes of this game.

"We're not going to change things, we're going to play a lot of rugby and we're not out of this by a long shot."

First half tries from Miles Benjamin and Andy Goode left the Pirates having to chase the game for much of the first leg at the Mennaye Field.

Although they were unable to pierce Worcester's defence, four penalties from full back Rob Cook ensured the Pirates will travel to Sixways next week with a fighting chance of overturning the deficit.

Stirling said: "Worcester were very clinical. They started strongly and we made a couple of errors and they took the points.

"But it's only half time, this game doesn't finish for another 80 minutes up at Sixways.

"We'll go (to Sixways) and we'll give it our best shot, one thing is if you want to win big games you've got to go out and play rugby and that's what we're going to do.

"I admire the guys for the way they played and the way they stuck at it. They kept going and even when the ball didn't go our way we still stuck at it and continued to play."
