New Zealand's Stephen Donald set for early Bath arrival
Bath's new fly-half Stephen Donald could move to the Rec sooner than expected after he was left out of New Zealand's World Cup training squad.
He was due to arrive at Bath after the competition finished in November.
But the 27-year-old could now be available for the start of the season after being told he is not likely to be included in the full World Cup squad.
"We just think other people are playing better right now," said All Blacks coach Graham Henry.
"I talked to him about that yesterday and unless we have injuries, he's not likely to be involved."
Donald, whose contract with Super 15 side Chiefs expires this year, has 22 international caps.
Henry is expected to announce his final squad on 10 July.
