Exeter Chiefs fly-half Myles Dorrian has said he is settling well at the club following his move from Championship outfit Bedford.

The 28-year-old Australia spent two seasons at Goldington Road prior to agreeing terms with Exeter in March.

"It has been good," he said. "The whole place is very professional and everybody is very friendly.

"I've played against a few of the boys in the past, but they've all been welcoming and I've been shown around."

Having found his feet amongst his new teammates, Dorrian now faces a battle for the prestigious number 10 shirt, where he is up against Gareth Steenson and Ignacio Mieres for the position.

"There are two good players ahead of me," Australia-born Dorrian continued.

"I've played against Gareth quite a bit, but I don't know too much about Mieres.

"We will soon lock horns together and it will be good competition for all of us.

"We can all learn off each other, we are all a bit different in our styles, but we will get together and chat about things, see how players play and look to make the squad better."
