Saracens hooker Schalk Brits has joined his former club Stormers on a short-term loan ahead of Saturday's Super Rugby semi-final against Crusaders.
The versatile 30-year-old will act as back-row cover for Duane Vermeulen, who is sidelined with a knee injury.
Should Stormers overcome Crusaders they will face the winner of Reds and Blues in the final on Saturday, 9 July.
Brits could collect his second piece of silverware of the season, after helping Sarries to the Premiership title.
The three-time South Africa cap expressed his surprise at the move on the social networking site Twitter.
Brits has made 64 Saracens appearances since joining them from the Cape Town-based outfit in 2009.
