Plymouth Albion have signed Exeter Chiefs' 18-year-old full back Jack Nowell on a dual-registration deal.
Nowell had a similar contract with Redruth in National One last season.
"He'll act as back-up to James Love and possibly might take his shirt if he's good enough," chairman of rugby Graham Dawe told BBC Radio Devon.
"He's certainly a talented player and although he's very young he's played National League rugby with Redruth," Dawe added.
Nowell, who has also been selected in the England Under-18's squad, started 11 matches for Redruth last season and made another two appearances as a replacement.
He scored four tries including one in the derby game with Cornish rivals Launceston.
