Alan Tait happy with Newcastle Falcons additions
Newcastle Falcons head coach Alan Tait is satisfied that his summer player recruitment has improved the squad for the new Premiership season.
"I was in the market and my job this summer was to suss out the players off the field," Tait told BBC Newcastle.
"I'm quite happy with the boys I've brought in so far."
Tait added: "We're still out there in the marketplace."
The former Scotland international has reshaped the squad considerably from the group he inherited from Steve Bates at the end of the 2009/10 season.
Senior professionals such as Tane Tu'ipulotu and Filipo Levi have all left Kingston Park, to be replaced by a new-look side recruited from Premiership, Championship and southern hemisphere rugby.
"Head coaches are judged by the players they bring in and results, so I feel that this is my team,"
"Ten players left last year, I've brought in the same number. These are my players, I can turn it round and I'll be judged on that."
