Reynolds's surgeon says he cannot stop him from playing

Guernsey Rugby Club coach Jordan Reynolds wants to play again, despite medical advice to quit the sport after serious knee and ankle injuries.

With Guernsey preparing for the first ever season in London South One, Reynolds is desperate to pull on the green jersey once again.

"I'm going to see how it goes in the next couple of weeks," he said.

"Hopefully if I can start running on it then hopefully in a month's time I can have another crack at it," he added.

Reynolds added on BBC Guernsey that he is awaiting an MRI scan to see if there is any more damage.

"I've been told by three surgeons that I can't play ever again.

"But I saw another one and he said 'well we're basically not going to be able to stop you'."
