Richard Cockerill rues sloppy Leicester Tigers line-out

Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill says sloppiness at the line-out cost them in the defeat 35-29 away against Wasps.

But Cockerill still felt his side did enough to triumph.

He told BBC Radio Leicester: "We played well and could have won but made errors at crucial times in the second half and our lineout fell to pieces.

"But we did some good things with some pretty good performances from some of the young guys and some senior guys."

Tigers are now second-bottom in the Premiership table having lost both their opening games of the season.

Cockerill added: "The fight and spirit in the changing room is pretty good and positive.

"It's hard, we want to be at the other end of the table but that's not the whole story and we have to take a measured view."

Leicester are next in action on Saturday when they are away against bottom-of-the-table Newcastle Falcons.
