Glenn Delaney demands brave Nottingham against Bristol

Nottingham director of rugby Glenn Delaney has urged his team to be brave in possession when they travel to face high-flying Bristol on Friday.

Nottingham were held to a 30-30 by Rotherham Titans last week and lie seventh in the Championship table.

Bristol are third but Delaney said: "Maintaining the ball for long periods is critical against teams like Bristol.

"You have to be confident enough to not kick away possession and relieve the pressure with ball in hand."

Delaney added: "We have steadily built our game after much work in the off season. We have started well but need to limit the errors we are making in order to finish games off that we have done enough to win.

"Over the next few weeks we will get injured players back along with our World Cup guys so I feel we are moving forward."
