French side Bayonne are paying the ultimate lip service to Marc Lievremont - by offering half-price admission to fans who sport a moustache for their game against Montpellier.

False moustaches are fine, meaning the offer is open to both men and women.

France head coach Lievremont has not shaved since losing a bet to defence coach David Ellis.

The 42-year-old has courted controversy throughout the World Cup with his outspoken views.

However, after his side's 19-12 quarter-final defeat of England, he appears to have silenced some of the critics who rounded on him after his team lost 19-14 to Tonga.

France have named an unchanged side to play Wales in the semi-finals on Saturday.

Bayonne's publicity stunt is partly inspired by the fact Lievremont's brother Thomas is the club's forwards coach.

The Top 14 side finished seventh last season but, in their previous campaign, they ended up in a relegation spot - only being saved from the drop by Montauban filing for bankruptcy.
