Exeter Chiefs lock Chris Bentley is not ruling out the possibility of going out on loan to try and get some matches.
The 32-year-old has yet to make an appearance for the Chiefs this season but is contention for a place in their LV= Cup match with Ospreys.
Asked if he would consider a loan move he said: "Hopefully I'll be involved this week, but if not then we will have to consider things like that.
"I'm a rugby player and I want to play rugby," he added to BBC Radio Devon.
Bentley made his debut for the Chiefs in 2004 and has gone on to make almost 100 appearances for the club.
And he said it had been difficult watching his team-mates from the stands so far this season.
"I said to myself at the start of the season that it might take a while to break in as there were some impressive characters," he added.
"I've had to bide my time patiently, the form of the new boys has been pretty impressive.
"It's awfully tough, I've been at the club for a long time now.
"My role, not through a choice of my own, has possibly changed a bit and I've been part of the support team.
"Hopefully the chances will come and I'll take them with both hands."
