Redruth bounced back from their 66-7 loss at Richmond last week

Redruth boss Dave Penberthy was pleased with the way his side bounced back from last week's thrashing by Richmond with a 56-22 win over Barnes.

First-half tries from Jamie Semmens, Lewis Vinnicombe, Chris Fuca, Tom Notman and Greg Goodfellow put Redruth 35-10 up at half-time.

Goodfellow got another after while Craig Bonds and Tom Duncan scored.

"It was one of our better performances. We scored eight tries and I'm pleased," Penberthy told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"We scored some good tries and I was really pleased at the end when Barnes were pressing for their four-try bonus point we kept them out.

"I always worry when we score so early as we tend to slacken off but this time we really did turn the screw and we had five tries by half-time," he added.
