Cornish Pirates scrum-half James Docherty has been banned for two weeks by the Rugby Football Union after being found guilty of kicking an opponent.

The incident occurred during his side's 25-25 Championship draw at Nottingham, when Docherty, 24, kicked Nick Rouse as he tried to free himself from a tackle.

Docherty will miss the Championship match at home to Rotherham and the British & Irish Cup match at Munster.

He was also ordered to pay £250 costs by the RFU disciplinary panel.
