Ross Rennie's try and the boot of Harry Leonard helped Edinburgh record victory over Treviso in the RaboDirect Pro 12.
The sides were separated by a point at the break as Leonard's three penalties edged the visitors in front, Ludwig Nitoglia having gone over for Treviso.
Treviso's Kristopher Burton added a penalty to his earlier drop-goal but two more Leonard penalties kept Edinburgh in command.
And Rennie's late try, converted by Leonard, stretched the Scots' lead.
The win is Edinburgh's third of the season while Treviso sustain a fourth loss of the campaign.
Leonard's first penalty put Michael Bradley's side in front but Burton's drop-goal levelled matters.
Another penalty by Leonard temporarily gave Edinburgh the lead but Nitoglia crossed the line to turn the score in Treviso's favour.
The visitors were further disadvantaged by Nick de Luca's yellow card.
But they recovered to lead at the break through Leonard's third penalty.
A penalty each from Leonard and Burton took the score to 12-11.
But a 10-point burst steered Edinburgh to a more convincing lead as Leonard's fifth penalty was added to by Rennie's try and a conversion from the former.
