Christian Wade scored a first-half hat-trick as Wasps picked up a bonus point victory at French side Bordeaux-Begles.
The winger grabbed his second treble of the season inside 25 minutes as Wasps went in 27-7 ahead at half-time despite twice being reduced to 14 men.
Dom Waldouck made a 30m run to the line for the bonus point try.
Wasps added two more tries in the second half through Tom Varndell and Nic Berry to secure an emphatic Challenge Cup win.
Felix Le Bourhis and Thierry Brana scored either side of the break for the hosts, who attracted 16,953 spectators for their first game in Europe since 2003.
